World Vegan Day is coming up

because I'm not even certain about how I got here. I've been a "wannabe" vegan since the late 80's. What prompted that inner conversation was after reading Diet for a New America by John Robbins. I was stunned to learn the real story about what it takes to get food from farms and the oceans to our tables. Once the shock wore off I conveniently let the impact continue to fade away and carried on with my carnivorous ways. 20 years later I'm finally stepping up and making the matters of this planet more important than my sloppy food choices. It's time.
