Definitions
Most online resources generally agree on the following definitions for vegetarianism. There are several types, but the one thing they all have in common is that no animal meat of any kind is consumed. Beyond that it breaks down like this:
Lacto-vegetarian: a vegetarian who does not eat eggs, but does eat dairy.
Ovo-vegetarian: a vegetarian who does not eat dairy, but does eat eggs.
Pescatarian: a vegetarian who eats fish
Vegan: a vegetarian who does not eat eggs, dairy, fish or anything derived from animals including honey
Raw/Living Foodists: think of a vegan who only eats raw foods so that no enzymes are destroyed in the cooking process
Fruitarians: they only eat fruit and fruit-like vegetables, and sometimes seeds and nuts
